Edmonton, AB-based since 2003, Showboy's blend of speaker-humpin', booty-shakin', deep & dirty disco house has taken him across North America & beyond, having played 4 continents. 2024 sees him back in his 3 most-played cities outside Edmonton: Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto.
His Edmonton residencies read like a history of LGBTQ2S+ nightlife in the storied city: BUDDYS (2003-06), THE ROOST (2007), PRISM (2008), BOOTS (2008-09), NEW CITY (2008-10), PLAY (2009-12), FLASH (2012), STEAMWORKS (2018) & EVOLUTION (2019-Current).
Tours have included RIPPIN' UP THE DISCO (Canada/USA, 12 dates, 2010), EXs+ OH!s (Canada/USA/Mexico, 52 dates, 2011-12), EMBRACE THE STRANGE (Canada, 23 dates, 2013), FUNK U! (USA, 19 dates, 2014), BASSTURBATE (Canada/USA/Mexico/EU/UK/Australia, 96 dates, 2015), DISCOFILTH (Canada/USA/Mexico/UK, 38 dates, 2016-17) and #LUCKY13PRIDE (Canada/USA, 13 dates, 2019).
He has worked with Florence Welch, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Morgan Page, Myles Dyson, Deko-ze, Chocolate Puma, Sarah McLachlan, Metric, Jann Arden, Tracy Young, Thunderpuss, Tony Moran & Deborah Cox, to name a few.
In 2003 he DJ’d extreme-sport events with Burton, and in 2010 played for athletes during the Vancouver Olympic Games. In 2015 he worked with iconic lifestyle brand KidRobot and in 2016, created the runway mix for West Coast Fashion Week & a line of #SHOWBOY briefs with Edmonton's SNUG Underwear. 2018/2019 saw him DJ with RuPaul’s Drag Race headliners. He held a long-weekend summer residency @ EAGLE CREEK in 2023, plus many Pride and club events across North America.
He was nominated for a 2015 Juno Award and 2 Grammy Awards in 2016, for writing, remixing & production. He spent years in retail management & education, was a makeup artist, and helped produce theatre & drag shows. He lived in England for 4 years, graduating university with degrees in Business Administration and Communications.
